It seems to be a law of the universe that whenever you don’t have a camera with you, something interesting is almost bound to happen that will make you wish you hadn’t left it at home.
Some photographers carry a camera with them at all times, while others only bring the camera along on special occasions. Some only pack the camera if they’re specifically planning on taking photos that day.
Carrying a digital camera with you everywhere you go means that you’ve got a bit of extra weight to carry around, and it can mean getting roped into taking pictures for your friends and family when they see your camera and designate you as the photographer for the day. On the plus side though, always having a camera handy can mean infinite chances to practice your photography on all types of subject matter.
Are you a photographer who carries your main camera with you everywhere you go? Do you leave the DSLR at home and bring a compact camera with you instead? Do you have a once-in-a-lifetime photo that you wouldn’t have gotten without your camera with you? Tell us about your daily photography habits in the comments below!
